Artist Bio
Juniper Wolfenbarger (they/them) is a genderqueer fiber artist, graphic designer, and arts educator based in Ypsilanti, MI, and a graduate from the University of Toledo in 2016 with their BFA in New Media Design Practices.
Self taught in fiber, they began working with hand embroidery techniques in 2017 to celebrate their lifelong adoration of fiber, and an appreciation for craft mediums.
Their art has been featured in galleries and institutions across the country, including the Peter Valley School of Craft, Kent State University Museum, and their first solo exhibition at the Ann Arbor Art Center.
In their studio at Ypsi Alloy, they create work exploring themes of queerness, community, dreams, nightmares, and intimate emotional landscapes.
They create art and graphic design projects on commission or contract.
