Cultural Awareness for a Cause: Understanding Addiction
The following is a zine created by Tiffin University students and faculty, funded by US bank. I was sought out to design the 100 page zine, filled with artwork, prose and medical facts exploring our country’s opioid epidemic.
I was inspired by the collage work created by students, and decided to use that as a main element of the design. I sourced my imagery from medical texts, stripping them of their original context. With this medical association I was able to simultaneously amplify the artwork through line and form while giving it a sense of scientific legitimacy.
